Officials: Road rage cause of hit-skip on I-71


Officials say road rage may be to blame for a two vehicle wreck on northbound I-71 Tuesday afternoon that closed the left three lanes of the highway for around two hours.

According to Hamilton County Dispatch, the incident occurred in the northbound lanes near Smith Road by the Norwood Lateral around 1:30 p.m.

Investigators say the accident was a hit-skip that was caused by road rage. Description of the suspects have not been given at this time. 

No injuries were reported in the incident. 

All lanes on the interstate have reopened.
