BOONE CO., KY (FOX19) - A Cooper High School student who died in a car crash just weeks away from graduation was laid to rest Wednesday.
 
Travis Liversgowdy, 18, was killed a week after a head-on crash May 1 on Camp Ernst Road. He was a passenger in a Toyota Camry that went left of center and hit a sport utility vehicle.
 
Liversgowdy's May 7 death prompting a huge outpouring of community support. #CooperStrong trending right now on social media, with friends sharing personal stories of the 18 year-old athlete.
 
Class was scheduled to be in session on Wednesday, but grief counselors were going to remain at the school as well for any students who need to talk.
 
Memorial services were held at the Family Life Center of Florence Baptist Temple on Florence Pike in Burlington.
