Recycle electronics, get free Reds tickets

CINCINNATI (FOX19) -

You can get two free Reds tickets simply by donating your old televisions, personal computers, monitors, small home appliances and other electronics for recycling.

The first 200 cars at the Cincinnati Reds and Players for the Planet E-Waste Recycling Drives will receive a pair of tickets to a regular season Reds game while supplies last.

The sixth annual event kicks off Thursday and will go through Sunday.

Organizers say in they're trying to reduce the more than 50 percent of e-waste that ends up in landfills.

There are four locations you can drop of your e-waste:

Thursday, May 14, 2015 - 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- PNC Bank/Kroger - Northgate Square: 9650 Colerain Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45251

Friday, May 15, 2015 - 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- PNC Bank/Kroger - Anderson Towne Center: 7500 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45230

Saturday, May 16, 2015 - 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- PNC Bank/Kroger - Hyde Park Plaza: 3740 Paxton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45209

Sunday, May 17, 2015 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

- Target/Kroger - Newport Pavilion: 160 Pavilion Parkway, Newport, KY 41071

Last year volunteers collected more than 148,000 lbs. of e-waste from more than 1,600 cars.
