Motorcyclist, 36, dies in AA Hwy crash

WILDER, KY (FOX19) - A 36-year-old motorcyclist died in a two-vehicle crash on the AA Highway north of Interstate 275 early Thursday. 

James Allen Johnson, of Cincinnati, lost control of his bike as it traveled north on the AA, crossed into the southbound lanes and continued north toward oncoming traffic, according to Wilder police.

His motorcycle struck a southbound vehicle driven by a 26-year-old Kentucky man.

Johnson died at the scene.

The other driver, also a man, was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The highway was shut down for nearly two hours before reopening just before 5 a.m.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
