COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

An 8-year-old girl and her mother injured in a residential break-in earlier this week.

Brian James Jackson, 18, kicked in the door to a Deshler Drive home on Sunday to fight a man inside, according to Colerain Township police.

When the door burst open, it struck the girl on the right side of her face.

Then, Jackson punched the child's mother several times with his fist, court records allege.

He fled the scene, but his father, Brian D. Jackson, 39, was arrested a short time later when he arrived on Deshler Drive, police said.

His father was "highly intoxicated" when he came looking for his son, court records state. Police ordered him to remain inside his vehicle, but he responded by using "abusive language and began illustrating violent tendencies towards officers," they wrote in a sworn statement.

He broke free from his wife and got out of the car to "come at officers," records read.

They immediately took him into custody without further incident. He was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing official business.

As for his son, he was arrested late Wednesday and is scheduled to face a Hamilton County judge Thursday on charges of aggravated burglary.
