A small community is taking on an industry giant. The people who live in Moscow think a nearby power plant is making them sick. The tiny village is nestled right next to Cinergy's Zimmer Power Plant. Residents believe the white puffy clouds rising out of the coal plant are depositing fly ash, coal dust, soot, and other particles all over town - and that the residue is bad for their health. About fifty out of Moscow's eighty homeowners have joined a lawsuit agianst Cinergy. They're asking the power company to buy their homes so they can move someplace healthier. Residents protested in front of the Zimmer Power Plant Saturday to call attention to their plight. A federal judge will decide in the next few months whether to allow the lawsuit to go forward as a class action suit.
