DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

All members of the military - active and retired - are admitted free to Kings Island this Memorial Day weekend.

The promotion, running Friday through Monday, is the park's way of paying tribute to the U.S. armed forces.

Participants must present military identification at the main entrance gates.

The offer also allows military members to purchase discounted $29.99 admission tickets for up to six family members.

As the park opens this holiday weekend, there is a new attraction.

Snoopy's Barnyard Friends, a petting farm with 60 animals, debuted Thursday.

The park's littlest visitors can watch and pet the gentle, socialized alpacas, miniature horses, goats, turkeys, ducks and potbelly pigs.

The attraction will be open daily through Aug. 23 and then weekends during public operating days Aug. 29 through Nov. 1

The Berry, New York-based Honey Hill Farm provided the animals.
