Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil (Provided by the sheriff's office)
ANDERSON TWP, OH (FOX19) -
The first in a series of Hamilton County Sheriff's Office heroin forums open to the public across Hamilton County takes place Wednesday night at Anderson Center, 7850 Five Mile Rd.
Another one is scheduled June 3 at Miami Township Administration Building, 3780 Shady Lane.
The events will run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
Speakers will include a former heroin addict, the commander of the sheriff's drug unit and Hamilton County Coroner Dr. Lakshmi Sammarco.
“You're going to hear about the problem, what's been done so far, and where we need to go from here to be successful," Sheriff Jim Neil said in a prepared statement. "I would encourage everyone who can to attend, because every demographic is impacted by this epidemic. Families and lives are being destroyed, and money or lack of, skin color, what neighborhood you live in, none of it matters. We're all dealing with this and we all have to work together to fight it."
Be sure to watch FOX19 NOW Morning News at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday. The sheriff will be live in our studio to discuss the forums.
