Rosa Parks Street is shut down between Freedom Way and Second Street until 11 a.m. Thursday while crews continue working on The Banks project.

Crews are pouring concrete as part of the development that will span a full city block with 305 apartments and 21,000 square-feet of retail space.

Developers hope to complete this phase by the fall.

City leaders say this help make The Banks a center of urban life and development.

Also Thursday, city officials and Hamilton County's joint steering committee meet at 3 p.m. at Great American Ball Park to discuss the next phase that also includes residential and commercial projects and will emerge just south of Freedom Way.
