Milan man arrested, accused of using a computer to procure a minor

KENTON COUNTY, KY (FOX19) -

A Milan, Ind., man was arrested after being accused of using a computer to procure a minor Friday.  

Officers from the Kenton County police, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Members arrested William Kinman, 42, of Milan, Ind, for two counts of unlawful use of a computer to procure a minor, which is punishable by up to five years in prison, registration as a sexual offender and up a $5,000 fine.

According to Kenton County police, an officer used an online persona of a young teenage girl.  Throughout the various chat conversations with Kinman, the officer indicated "she" was under age many times. Kinman was not dissuaded.

Officials say Kinman traveled to Kenton County on Friday to an undisclosed location to meet the undercover officer posing as a young girl for sexual purposes.  He was arrested without incident.

The incident remains under investigation by the Kenton County Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
