Breaking: Pete Beck guilty on 13 charges

Former mayor of Mason and state lawmaker Pete Beck was found guilty Tuesday on 13 criminal charges related to perjury, theft and fraudulent sale of security.

He was found not guilty on another 25 charges.

Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge John Andrew West made the announcement following a 10-week securities fraud bench trial.

A brief recess is underway, and then the sentencing phase will begin.

Beck faced 38 total counts, including corruption, which carries a minimum 10 year prison sentence.
