Consider This: The All-Star clean up

Consider This: All-Star clean up

FOX19 - "If you build it, they will come." Well, we did build it, and they are coming!

We're talking, of course, about Major League Baseball's 2015 All-Star game right here in Cincinnati. The question is are we ready?

This event is so much bigger than the game itself. It's a week filled with parades, concerts, color run, Fan Fest, home run derby and so much more.

There really is something for everyone, not just those who can afford tickets.

So consider this. This summer's events will play out on an international stage and the Queen City will host tens of thousands of fans willing to spend their money in Cincinnati.

While the City will be hopefully handling things like the huge potholes, trash and overgrown grass and weeds along the interstates, we're challenging you to also get involved in the cleanup.

So to it's time to cut grass, pull weeds, pick up garbage, plant flowers, slap on some paint and make our city shine! The All-Star game is expected to generate $60-75 million, and as hosts, it's time to turn on our civic pride, and give the world the best time ever!

And don't forget, you can see coverage of all of the festivities and the game right here on FOX19 NOW.
