2 displaced in Mt Auburn grease fire

MT. AUBURN, OH (FOX19) -

Two residents were displaced when a grease fire broke out in a kitchen early Thursday.

Cincinnati fire crews responded to Highland Avenue near Dorchester Avenue just before 6 a.m.

Two families - two adults and two children and two women - were inside the multi-family home as smoke poured from the roof.

They safely evacuated, and no one was hurt.

The bulk of the fire on the second floor was quickly knocked down.

No immediate injuries were reported.

Damage was estimated at $25,000.

The American Red Cross has been called to help the displaced residents. The family of four is being permitted back inside.
