Imagine being able to shop for groceries without actually having to do the physical shopping yourself. A new service offered by Kroger is making that the reality for some customers.
The Cincinnati-based grocer is launching its new online shopping feature at its Liberty Township location, and it's quite simple to do: After making an account online, you can shop for over 40,000 items, including fresh meat and produce.
An associate will carefully pick out the items you request and have those ready for you at a pick-up time scheduled by you, according to the web site. You're then able to pick up and pay for your items without even leaving your vehicle.
Kroger has not yet specified when other locations will use the program but says it will expand the service to other locations once they determine if the program is the successful.
