Firefighter injured in Garfield Tower apartment fire

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati firefighters are investigating a 2-alarm fire at the Garfield Tower Apartments in downtown Cincinnati on Saturday afternoon.
 
Officials say it happened just after 1 p.m. on Garfield Place near Race Street. Fire crews were dispatched after smoke was showing from a window on the 11th floor. 

Emergency responders confirmed that a fire started in the living room of an 11th floor apartment, but was quickly put out.
 
One firefighter suffered minor injuries, and all residents were evacuated safely. No word on the firefighter's condition.

Two people were displaced in the fire.  

Officials estimate smoke damage up to $10,000 to the building.
