This Weekend: Ride Cincinnati raises more than $300,000 this year

The ninth annual Ride Cincinnati at Sawyer Point took place on Sunday. Thousands of cycling participants of all age rode their bikes while raising money for Breast Cancer Research.

Ride Cincinnati is the first cycling event to raise funds for Breast Cancer Research in the Cincinnati area.

This year, Ride Cincinnati raised more than $300 thousand and since 2007 its raised more than $2 million to fund breast cancer research at the Barrett Cancer Center at the UC Cancer Institute.

New this year, Ride Cincinnati is partnering with Cincinnati Red Bike to provide bike options to those who want to participate but don't have a bike, or a way to bring their bikes down to the event.

Any overage fees for Ride Cincinnati participants will be waived and the all-day rental fee is only $8. Bike stations are located close to the race start at Sawyer Point, Fountain Square and the Freedom Center.
