A repeat offender is under arrest after police say two juveniles on bicycles spotted him engaged in sexual activity at a public park.

The children alerted officers, who took Michael Cox, 35, of West Chester, into custody on a public indecency charge on Southern Avenue near Jefferson Avenue Monday.

Police said they found him with an open, 24-ounce can of Milwaukee Best Ice beer.

Cox is held without bond at the Hamilton County jail and is scheduled to face a judge Tuesday.

He is known to police in the area and was out on bond from a recent arrest at the time of his arrest.

Lockland police took him into custody June 5 on charges of criminal damaging and resisting arrest, court records show.

He is accused of kicking the side of his own father's vehicle several times and smashing the front passenger window. When police tracked him down inside a local carry out, he struggled with them and had to be taken off the ground by several officers before they were able to take him into custody, records state.

He also was convicted of April 24 misdemeanor charges of discarding litter and criminal trespassing. He refused to leave Reading Police Department property and then overturned a trash can in the rear lot, scattering garbage.
