FOREST PARK, OH (FOX19) -

Seven children found living in deplorable conditions were removed from a Forest Park home by Hamilton County Jobs and Family Services on Wednesday.

Rodent feces, stagnant water, trash, insect infestation, mold and mildew were found inside the Lincolnshire Road home, according to court documents.

Vena Lynn, 42, faces seven counts of child endangerment. The kids found inside the home are Lynn's own children and grandchildren and range in ages from 2 to 9-years-old.

Police arrested Lynn on Tuesday after serving a warrant at the residence to investigate a shooting. According to officials, a man involved in a gun battle was hiding out in Lynn's home.

The home was declared condemned and the children are now in the care of family members, police say.
