2015 MLB All-Star Weekend: Celebrations and events

Looking for alternatives for All-Star weekend? Here are some spots in downtown Cincinnati who are holding events for the All-Star game and during the weekend.

Arnold's Bar

Arnold's Bar is teaming up with Bell's Brewing to bring five straight days of rare beers and music during All-Star weekend. Jake Speed and the Freddies, Briar Rabbit and Sundresses and the Cincy Brass will headline over the five days.  All of the classic Bell's beer will be on tap and there will be some Bell's rare beer tappings Friday through Sunday.

Details: Friday, July 10 through Tuesday, July 14 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m.

Fountain Square

Rapper Cal Scruby will be performing on Fountain Square at the Self Diploma free summer concert series.  

Details: The all ages free event will be Saturday, July 11 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Moerlein Lager House

ESPN's "Mike & Mike" morning show, featuring Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic, will broadcast their live show from the Moerlein Lager House during the MLB All-Star festivities on Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14.  Fans are invited to watch both shows live.

Moerlein lager House will offer a breakfast buffet both days for $15.99 a person, which includes bacon, sausage, two types of prepared eggs, fruit and hash browns.  The bar and Bloody Mary bar will open at 5:30 a.m. on both days.

Mynt Cincinnati

Some of the best nightlife DJ's from Miami to Vegas to LA will be coming to Mynt Cincinnati to play over five days during the All-Star weekend. Graham Funke, DJ OBSCENE, DJ CX, Tony Martinez will all be headlining the weekend at Mynt.

Details: Starting Friday, July 10 at 9 a.m. Mynt will open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and nightlife, with entertainment starting at 11 a.m. everyday.

Neons Unplugged

Neons will construct a big screen outdoor theater on their patio to show the 2015 Home Run Derby and the All-Star game. They will also serve ballpark style food, popcorn, peanuts and baseball themed cocktails and specials.

Details: The event starts at 7 p.m.  each night on Monday, July 13 and Tuesday, July 14.

Taft's Ale House

Taft's Ale House will be throwing an outdoor party starting on Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12 at the Summer Draft at Taft's. Taft's Ale House will be hosting live music all weekend long and feature beer from MadTree, Christian Moerlein Brewing Company, Rhinegeist, as well as summer selections from Taft's Ale House.  Eckerlin Meats from Findlay Market will serve food to pair with the beer.

Details: Admission is free. The event starts at noon and ends at 11 p.m. each day. 

Location: The outdoor event will be across the street from Taft's Ale House.  15th & Race.

Tin Roof

Tin Roof will open at 10 a.m. during All-Star weekend and will provide additional live music to their atmosphere, which is a block away from Great American Ball Park.

Details: 10 a.m. to TBA Sunday, July 12 through Tuesday, July 14.
