Alcohol and drugs are factors in a crash that killed two people and injured a third on Ohio 756 east of Fruit Ridge Road early Friday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Betty Crawford, 53, of Moscow and Richard L. Carter, 49, of Felicity were pronounced dead at the scene of the 6:12 a.m. collision.
A third person, James Crawford, 53, of Moscow was airlifted to University of Cincinnati Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
Carter's 2010 Dodge Caliber ran left of center on eastbound Ohio 756 and slammed the Crawford's 2004 Dodge Ram 1500.
Both drivers wore seatbelts at the time of the crash. Betty Crawford was not.
