BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

A man was drunk when he struck a police cruiser early Saturday morning, officials said.

Two Ohio State Patrol officers were conducting an OVI traffic stop on southbound I-75 near Union Center Boulevard around 1:21 a.m. After securing the OVI suspect in the backseat of the officers' patrol car, police say a Chevrolet driven by Antonio Randolph hit the back of the cruiser.

Randolph, 41, was determined to be drunk and was charged with an OVI.

The two officers and rear passenger sustained minor injuries and were treated on scene.

The rear passenger was also charged with an OVI and has been released.

Randolph is currently being held at the Butler County jail.

Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the case.
