Cincinnati and Head Basketball Coach Mick Cronin have enjoyed a massive 24 hours in recruiting with verbal commits from Wilmington’s Jarron Cumberland and NC State’s Kyle Washington on Wednesday, less than a day after three-star big man Nysier Brooks committed to the Bearcats.

Cumberland is entering his senior season at Wilmington and is listed as a four-star recruit. The 6-4, 210-pound shooting guard had offers from Xavier, Butler, West Virginia, Florida State and Purdue. Cumberland is ranked No. 77 in the ESPN Top 100 and No. 65 by Rivals.com. He averaged 24.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists in his junior season at Wilmington.

Washington, a 6-9, 230-pound forward, started 18 games for NC State last season and can the shoot the rock from long range. Washington averaged 6.8 points and 4.1 rebounds in his sophomore season with the Wolfpack. He’ll sit out the 2015-16 season with two years of eligibility left after that. Coming out of high school, Washington was listed as an ESPN Top 100 recruit.
