CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A 30-story tall image of a vintage Red Stockings player has found its home on the Carew Tower.

The image, featured on the east side of the building, was projected for the first time Wednesday evening during a ceremony on Fountain Square.

"In 1869, the first professional baseball team this is what the guys looked like, the original Red Stockings," said Reds COO, Phil Castellini. "This guy is an iconic symbol of baseball's first team, founded here in Cincinnati. It is really special that we've got him projected 30-stories tall and a really cool feature of what we are doing over the next couple of weeks."

The vintage Red Stockings player will be shown nightly through July 15.

You can watch the 86th MLB All-Star Game on FOX19 NOW. Coverage of the game begins at 3:00 p.m. July 14.
