SPRINGDALE, OH (FOX19) - Springdale Police say there is a person of interest in the stabbing that left one man dead and four juveniles injured Thursday.
The suspect is a black man that would have sustained a gash or cut injury to his hand or arm, according to officials.
"Evidence at the scene leads us to believe the suspect sustained this injury while committing the offense," a release from the department reads.
It is not clear if the person of interest had a relationship to the residents. Investigators said the apartment showed no forced entry.
Officers responded to around midnight to reports of a man "having trouble" with two men at Willows of Springdale apartments off Chesterdale Drive near Interstate 275, according to emergency communication reports.
Police said Emilio M. Ramirez was killed and four juveniles were wounded. All were taken to hospitals and two of the juveniles underwent surgery Thursday afternoon.
The ages of the juveniles range from two to 14-years-old, police said.
A man who called 911 spoke mostly Spanish and some broken English, according to a recording of the call. He was able to tell the dispatcher he had trouble with two men at the apartment.
