WALNUT HILLS (FOX19) - A 25-year-old man was shot three times in an attempted street robbery late Tuesday, Cincinnati police said.
The victim told police two men in a dark-colored sport utility vehicle pulled up as he walked near the dead end of Chapel Street and demanded his cash about 9:45 a.m., said Lt. Tim Brown, the night chief.
He told them had no money, so they shot him. Bullets struck his left leg and foot.
The gunmen fled and remain at large.
The victim told police he called a friend, who took him by private vehicle to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
He is expected to recover.
The shooting remains under investigation.
