COVINGTON, KY (FOX19) - UPDATE: A missing six-year-old boy has been found safe in Cincinnati after an Amber Alert was issued for him. La-Doniel Bates' mother, Megan Wells, is charged with custodial interference, according to Kenton County Prosecutor's, Rob Sanders, Twitter page. Custodial Interference is a Class D felony and Wells could face 1-5 years.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 6-year-old boy who was possibly taken by his mother, according to emergency communications.
La-Doniel Bates went missing on Wednesday after his mother, Megan Wells, picked him up from daycare, according to a Facebook post from the Covington Police Department. Bates' father was granted custody Wednesday morning, officials say.
The mother and child's whereabouts are unknown.
They are believed to be traveling in a 1996 grey, four-door Acura or Mitsubishi with front bumper damage. Possible Ohio license plate GKL 5510.
