GREEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) -

Two people suffered non-life threatening injuries after a box truck struck a vehicle in Green Township Friday.

The accident happened in the 7000 block of Harrison Avenue near Summit Lake Drive at around 2:09 p.m.

Police say a 2012 International box truck being operated by Richard Scott, 53, of Middletown, was traveling southbound on Harrison Drive, while a 2002 Chevrolet being operated by Alex Bertenshaw, 23, of Lawrenceburg, Ind., was traveling northbound on Harrison Avenue. Bertenshaw lost control of his vehicle causing him to travel left of center, and after crossing, Bertenshaw's vehicle was struck by the box truck.

Kelly Mayer, 29, of Lawrenceburg, was a passenger in Bertenshaw's vehicle.  She and Bertenshaw were both transported to University Hospital by Green Township Fire Department for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Scott was not injured in the crash.

Everyone in their respective vehicles were wearing a seat belt.

Alcohol, drugs and speed do not believe to be factors in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
