All-Star out of towners loving Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The City of Cincinnati is front and center with the MLB All Star game in town. Police presence is ramped up, which people seemed to appreciate. The folks from out of town were all over. You could see plates from Michigan, and Florida just to name a few. We ran into people from Iowa, Chicago, New York and Wisconsin all roaming the streets of Cincinnati for the first time.

"To me just walking downtown [is really impressive]," said Jeff Ellis from Chattanooga, Tennessee. "It's great everyone is really friendly," said Rebecca Hendeel from New York City. She said what she wasn't prepared for is the humidity.  A couple from Wisconsin felt the city exceeded their expectations. Even telling FOX19 NOW, the plan to have another trip to the city in the future.

"I had no idea what it was going to look like," said Andrea Diez from a city just outside of Milwaukee. "It's beautiful," she continued. Diez said Cincinnati looks similar to her city. Don't know about that, but Michael Ward of Brooklyn, New York took in some time to eat at a restaurant in the Over-The-Rhine.

"We've been to that area and it's been great," Ward said. We had a lovely time there," he continued. Ward dined at The Eagle on Vine Street. He told us the chicken is to die for. "Some of the best damn chicken I ever had in my life," he said with an almost Grinch style smile on his face.
