CLIFTON, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati police are searching for a suspect who crashed a stolen car and then ran into a wooded area early Friday.

Officers saw a man driving a vehicle without headlights in the area of Brookline Avenue between Clifton and Ludlow avenues just before 5 a.m., said Lt. Tim Brown, the night chief.

The driver sped off and crashed into a parked van.

Police never had time to initiate a pursuit or even activate their lights and sirens, Brown said.

The suspect bailed from the vehicle, which has been reported stolen, and ran into a wooded area.
