AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) -

A man who was stopped for jaywalking ended up being arrested in connection to a May 22 shooting.

Chris Miller, 22, is accused of shooting Mario Washington in the chest on Reading Road in Avondale. Washington “died at UCMC and was revived,” court documents state.

Police took Miller into custody Thursday afternoon after spotting him crossing the 3600 block of Reading Road, according to officials. He had open warrants for felonious assault and weapons violations.

A judge on Friday set Miller’s bond at $500,000. He was also cited for the pedestrian violation.
