BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) - Donald Trump wants to meet up with Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones, according to a tweet from the sheriff on Tuesday.
"Donald Trump's campaign contacted me today... possibly meeting in the near future...." said Jones.
Jones, who has been outspoken about border patrol in the past, supported Trump's controversial stance on immigration.
"The Mexican Government is forcing their most unwanted people into the United States. They are, in many cases, criminals, drug dealers, rapists, etc.," said Trump. He blamed U.S. and Mexican leaders for the issues and said he has respect for the country and its people
Jones said he doesn't agree with everything Trump says, but said Trump has guts for saying "what needs to be said, not just what people want to hear."
