The movie filmed in Greater Cincinnat featuring Don Cheadle as jazz great Miles Davis will make its premiere at the New York Film Festival.
The film "Miles Ahead" is Don Cheadle's directorial debut and will serve as the closing night selection for the 53rd New York Film Festival at the Lincoln Center.
"I am happy that the selection committee saw fit to invute us to the dance," Cheadle said to the Lincoln Center's website. "It's very gratifying that all the hard work that went into the making of this film, from every person on the team, has brought us here."
The festival begins on Sept. 25 and runs through Oct. 11.
Cheadle and the rest of cast filmed in Cincinnati last summer and said the decision to shoot in the Queen City was the mixture of the architecture and good business.
""With what's happening with the incentives here, Los Angeles is actually lagging behind you guys and it's becoming a film friendly town which is great," said Cheadle.
Cheadle has starred in Hotel Rwanda and the Oceans 11 series.
