WESTWOOD, OH (FOX19) -

Cincinnati police homicide detectives are investigating after a badly burned body was found in the back seat of a car early Friday.

Police responded to the 30000 block of Bracken Woods Lane for a 4 am report of a car fire.

The body was found shorty after, said Homicide Lt. Joe Briede.

The person's gender and race have not been determined because the body was so badly burned.

Police on scene said the body was found in the backseat of a Buick LaCrosse sedan behind a multi-family or apartment building.

Arson investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.

FOX19 NOW has a crew on the way to the scene and will continue to update this story on air and online.
