Rescue crews were dispatched early Saturday morning after boat carrying six people sank in the Ohio River.
The incident occurred near the I-275 bridge around 3:30 a.m.
The boaters said the 24-foot boat hit a log, the motor stopped running, and immediately started taking on water. They immediately had to jump in the water.
Two people were able to safely swim to shore and were treated for minor injuries at St. Elizabeth Hospital for evaluation. The four other victims were found about a half mile down the river clinging to a log, according to the Cincinnati Fire Department.
Cincinnati Fire Boats and Bellevue Kentucky Water Rescue were able to retrieve the victims from the water. The four victims reported no injuries.
Boone County Water Rescue is working on bringing the boat to shore.
