HYDE PARK, OH (FOX19) -

A 28-year-old father died and his small daughter was hurt in a weekend crash, Cincinnati police said.

Adam Boone lost control of his eastbound Chevrolet Silverado in the 2500 block of Dana Avenue, drove off the right side of the road and struck a tree about 12:40 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Cincinnati fire crews extricated him from the vehicle and took him to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he died.

His daughter, Bianca Boone, 2, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.

The toddler was listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Cincinnati police's traffic unit is investigating the cause of the crash.

Witnesses are asked to call them at 513-352-2514.
