Shooting victim calls 911 for help

SPRINGFIELD TWP, OH (FOX19) -

A shooting victim called 911 for help Monday night, according to Hamilton County emergency communication reports.

Police found a 20-year-old man near the shooting scene on Zodiac Avenue near Mercury Avenue just before 9 p.m., reports state. 

"It ricocheted. I'm bleeding a little bit," the victim told a dispatcher, according to a recording of the call.

He said a male acquaintance in the backseat of a small, four-door car fired a gun at him at least twice.

"He hopped out of the car and said 'you better run,'" he told the dispatcher. "The second time he shot at me, I was already running."

The victim suffered a minor leg wound, was treated by medics at the scene and released.

The gunman fled in the backseat of a small, four-door car and remains at large.
