CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Six people were arrested following a rally organized by Cincinnati’s ‘Black Lives Matter’ group on Friday.

The rally started as a vigil for Samuel DuBose called “Light the Night.” The group remained peaceful as they marched from the Hamilton County Courthouse to Fountain Square. That is where police said a disturbance took place, resulting in the arrests.

Damon Lynch IV, the son of local pastor Damon Lynch III, was arrested in the incident. Brian Simpson, Kevin Farmer, Darius Clay, Mary Condo and Kimberly Thomas were also arrested.

"I put the message out there. We didn't expect it to be so big, and it started out peaceful as we wanted," said DuBose’s cousin Shannae Figgs. "The outcome unfortunately turned into something negative. We just don't want anything negative attached to my cousin's name."
