FOX19 - Kraft has recalled more than 36,000 boxes of wrapped cheese singles because the wrapper could be a choking hazard.
The voluntary recall applies to 3-pound and 4-pound packages of American and White American slices with a "best when used by" date between December 29, 2015 and January 4, 2016. The affected packages have manufacturing codes "S54" or "S55"
"A thin strip of the individual packaging film may remain adhered to the slice after the wrapper has been removed. If the film sticks to the slice and is not removed, it could potentially cause a choking hazard," states the recall.
Kraft says it has received 10 consumer complaints about the wrapping and in three cases, consumers have chocked on the piece of packaging film.
The recalled cheese can be returned to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or full refund.
