Party bus rider arrested in roadside attack

CAMPBELL COUNTY, KY (FOX19) - An Elsmere man was arrested after an altercation on the side of the road on westbound Interstate 275 late Saturday night.

Highland Heights Police say Charles Webb III called his son to get picked up after the party bus he was on broke down on the side of the road.

After arriving on scene, Webb's son exited his vehicle and entered the party bus. As soon as Webb's son entered the bus, a vehicle struck his son's vehicle which struck the party bus, according to an incident report.

Police say the striking vehicle attempted to continue on after striking the vehicle, but struck a guardrail and stopped.

Witnesses told police that after the crash, Webb ran to the truck, grabbed the driver and started punching him until a female pulled Webb off of him.

Webb stated that he punched the guy and that he had been at a Riverbend concert where he drank eight to nine beers, according to the incident report.

Webb was arrested and taken to Campbell County jail. No word on what charges he faces.
