A Delhi Township home in the 1100 block of Wilderness Trail was broken into July 23, according to police.
Officials said the items taken in the offense included a laptop, jewelry and coins.
Delhi Township police began an investigation and were able to locate and recover the laptop at a pawn shop within a few days.
The laptop was sold by Casey Schneider, said police.
According to authorities, detectives obtained a search warrant Tuesday for Schneider's residence, where they located a piece of the victim's jewelry in his bedroom.
Along with the jewelry, police found heroin, a needle and a spoon, claimed reports.
Police said Schneider was charged with burglary, possession of drugs and possessing drug abuse instruments.
