A fatal auto crash in Sycamore township Saturday occurred around 12:00 p.m. at 7875 Montgomery Road, reported Hamilton County Sheriff Jim Neil.
Police said Dennis Acus, 58, was operating a 1998 Chevrolet westbound in the 7800 block of Montgomery Road when he began to experience an unknown medical event.
This caused his vehicle to strike a 2013 Honda that was stopped waiting to turn left into a business, according to officials.
Acus's vehicle then crossed over the double yellow line and into oncoming traffic, showed reports.
Police stated his vehicle then stuck a 2015 Cadillac in the front center that was traveling eastbound in the curb lane.
The driver of the Cadillac was transported to University Hospital and was in good condition, said officials.
According to officials, Acus was transported to Jewish Hospital where he was later pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the crash.
Police said Acus was not wearing his safety belt at the time of the crash, but all other drivers and occupants involved were seat belted during the event.
Alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to have played a part in the crash, stated police.
The crash remains under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Traffic Safety Unit.
