Coroner rules death of man pulled from Great Miami River

BUTLER COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

The Butler County Coroner ruled the death of the man whose body was recovered from the Great Miami River Tuesday.

Officials ruled that 47-year-old Scott Allen Montique, of Ross Township, accidentally drowned in the Great Miami River. He had been found facing down in the river, according to the incident report.

Montique was reported as a missing person to the Hamilton Police Department on Monday, according to police.

A report stated that Montique was last seen leaving a family members home on Elmo Avenue on Sunday at approximately 10:30, Hamilton Police said.
