ANDERSON TWP, OH (FOX19) - A 19-year-old woman surrendered to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office on charges she stole more than $20,000 from a victim whose home her mother was watching while she was out of town.

Brittany Retzler of Amelia faces a judge Wednesday morning on a burglary charge.

According to court records, she called a sheriff's detective and confessed to getting a key to the Shangrila Drive residence, going in and stealing the jewelry on March 31.

She said she sold the items at pawn shops and to gold buyers for cash.
