Family drops fight for Brandon Carl estate

CINCINNATI (FOX19) - A family fight over the estate belonging to the man killed in the Hopple Overpass collapse has ended.

Brandon Carl's fiancée, Kendra Blair, took on Carl's parents in a Bracken County Circuit Court earlier this year. According to court documents, both parties settled their differences and dropped the suit Tuesday.

Charles Carl, Sharon Frey and Blair have joined forces in any wrongful death claims against the Ohio Department of Transportation.

Frey and Carl filed a lawsuit accusing ODOT of negligence and carelessness in the overpass demolition that killed their son. Brandon Carl, 35, was operating a backhoe when the bridge collapsed on Jan. 19.
