BROWN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -

A Brown County grand jury sentenced one and indicted two others in connection to three separate overdose deaths.

Court records reveal that Kevin B. Tucker was sentenced  Wednesday with Involuntary Manslaughter, a first degree felony. Tucker's sentence stems from the overdose death of Danny Smith on June 17, according to Brown County's Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Zac Corbin.

Tucker will serve four years in prison, said officials.

Joshua F. Brockman and Brandy S. Smith also face felony counts after indictments were filed by the Brown County Common Pleas Court in August, according to authorities.

“These cases should send a message to those that choose to sell drugs in Brown County that they will be held accountable if the drugs they sell cause a deadly overdose, ” said Corbin.

Brockman is charged with a total of seven felony counts, including Involuntary Manslaughter and Corrupting Another with Drugs, in connection to the death of Dennis Cook on May 25. Brockman is facing 24 years in prison and is currently being held on $350,000 bond at the Brown County jail.

Smith is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter, Corrupting Another with Drugs, Trafficking Heroin, Trafficking Drugs and Illegal Assembly for the Manufacture of Methamphetamine. Keith's charges stem from the death of Terry Day on April 11, according to Corbin. She is held on $350,000 bond and is facing 24 years in prison.
