A love triangle led to a stabbing overnight, Cincinnati police said.
A 35-year-old Erlanger man was critically wounded, and a suspect was apprehended shortly after.
The victim got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend on Shadymist Lane about 10:30 p.m. and someone pulled out a knife, said Lt. Tim Brown,the night chief.
The victim was stabbed in the stomach and twice in the arms.
He was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where he is listed in critical but stable condition and should recover, Brown said.
Meanwhile, Covington police apprehended the suspect, 38, a short time later.
Richard Carter was booked into the Kenton County by 1:38 a.m. on a marijuana trafficking charge and three warrants from another, unnamed police agency, jail records show.
He is held in lieu of $3,685 bond
Carter has not been charged yet in connection with the stabbing while the case remains under investigation, Brown said.
