Reds honor Tony Perez this weekend

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

Members of the 1975-1976 Cincinnati Reds World Series Championship "Big Red Machine" teams will in Cincinnati to celebrate the career of the legendary Reds slugger Tony Perez on Friday and Saturday.

Perez and the Big Red Machine teammates will have an exclusive, intimate dinner in the Handlebar inside Great American Ball Park Friday.  This event is sold out.  

Following the Friday's Reds game, the Big Red Machine will be introduced on the field prior to the post-game fireworks.

The players schedule to appear are: Perez, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, Pete Rose (Friday only), David Concepcion, George Foster, Cesar Geronimo, Ken Griffey, Sr., Jack Billingham, Don Gullett, Rawly Eastwick, Pat Darcy and Doug Flynn.

The first 30,000 fans will receive a free replica statue of Perez as part of the Reds game Saturday night. Perez and his teammates will participate in on-field ceremonies to celebrate "Tony Perez Day" followed by a first pitch by Perez.
