MONTGOMERY, OH (FOX19) -

Grief counselors are at Sycamore High School Monday to help students and staff cope from the tragic weekend death of a 2015 graduate on Interstate 71 near the Pfeiffer Road exit.

Amy Sanker, 18, was pronounced dead shortly after a two-vehicle crash shut the highway down for several hours early Sunday.

Montgomery police have released few other details.

"Amy's death will have a significant impact on our entire school community," reads a statement from Sycamore Community Schools. "Sycamore High School has mobilized a Building Response Team comprised of professionals trained to help with the needs of students, parents, school personnel and graduates during this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with Amy’s family, as well as her family in Sycamore Community Schools."
