MASON, OH (FOX19) -

Kings Island presented a check for $171,000 to representatives from Melanoma Know More, Pink Ribbon Girls and The Dragonfly Foundation Sunday.

Each organization received $57,000 from the money raised during the Kicks Cancer campaign since July 24.

Park visitors contributed to the campaign by purchasing soccer balls for $5 and kicking them into the park fountains for a chance to win a new 2015 Honda Civic.

Hudson Green of Flint, Michigan was randomly selected as the winner among the 22,590 soccer balls that were purchased.

Since 2010, Kings Island has raised more than $1 million for research and care in the fights against cancers affecting men, women and children.
