UC kicks off record-setting year

Back to school at UC

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, OH (FOX19) - When the University of Cincinnati Fall semester starts Monday, it will kickoff what school officials describe as a record setting year.

UC officials project enrollment will hit an all time high at 44,000, topping last year's high of 43,691.

School officials say enrollment isn't the only area of growth. First year retention, average ACT scores, average SAT scores and average GPA's are all up.

There will also be more students of color and international students enrolled on campus than ever before.

A visible change for visitors will be the upgrades made to the Bearcats Nippert Stadium. The $86 million dollar project will expand the stadium seating to 40,000.
